Read: Psalm 139
No one looks forward to that day where the house or garage is cleaned inside and out. It is a big job but once it’s done, I feel great. Afterwards, I think to myself, if I just do a little bit every day, the spring cleaning day won’t be so overwhelming next year.
The same is true for healthy eating and regular activity. Doing a little bit every day can prevent weight gain and help maintain good health.
Sometimes our spiritual life needs a spring cleaning as well. Chuck Swindoll says, “Keeping our spiritual house clean requires not only a daily effort but also an occasional respite of uninterrupted fellowship with the Lord. By slowing down through prayer, scriptural meditation, worship, and reflection, we can restore our perspective and see the leaven we normally miss because we are too distracted by life’s busyness.” Spend some quality time with God this week and He will restore your soul.
